City - Our Communities Connect “
A unique project developed by Caloundra City’s Future
Leaders, which aims
to connect people and nurture community spirit by creating positive and
supportive relationships.
Caloundra City- Our Communities Connect will consist of
a high profile annual campaign, “Know Your Neighbour”,
which will be the catalyst for a range of local strategies to connect
people, assist individuals in need and provide information and
resources for other communities interested in the concept.
“Know Your Neighbour” strives to foster
diversity, understanding and support locally and throughout the wider
Caloundra City community. Know
Your Neighbour also aims to identify individuals and groups
in need, and to facilitate local community strategies to assist
them.
Caloundra City’s Future Leaders will
use their skills, resources and contacts to develop this important
and innovative project to ensure that it becomes a positive, significant
and valued strategy to enhance the Caloundra City community. The Future
Leaders personally and enthusiastically commit time
and effort to make a difference in their own neighbourhoods to inspire
their peers and others to contribute positively to their community.
