Young Women’s Strategy

The Young Women’s Strategy (YWS) is an initiative of Sunshine Coast Youth Partnership and Life Bridge, in response to identified concerns for issues and challenges facing young Sunshine Coast women.

The YWS is aimed at providing:

• Training
• Mentoring
• Case Management

To empower young women for a positive future by increasing their self confidence, personal power and support networks.

Target Group:

10 girls aged 13 to 16 years who have been identified as potentially at high risk of personal harm due to:

• Demonstrating decision making that is potentially damaging to their wellbeing
• Engagement in unsafe health and personal activities

Project 2 will be conducted between March  and December 2011.
