Community Sector Leadership Group

The Community Sector Leadership Group has been developed to provide an opportunity for Community Service Managers to connect and discuss leadership and sector issues within a safe and supportive structure, provide collegial support and pursue shared professional development needs.

It has been identified that many Managers work in solitary positions and lack the opportunity to discuss the constraints and challenges of their role and sectoral issues with equivalent level peers.

The value of a cross sector Leadership Group, as well as the capacity to learn from other managers individual Practice, is also the opportunity to learn from other organisational approaches.

The proposed structure would be a lunch meeting including an opportunity for Facilitated Open Discussion (to raise issues and concerns) and an agreed Professional Development session.

Caloundra Youth Services Network

Bi-monthly meeting for all youth services in Caloundra with links to the Sunshine Coast service system, to discuss and develop projects and services. This may increase the opportunity to gain further funding for the sector and importantly give a larger voice to sector issues. Organisations may be able to work together to jointly fund a much needed program that one organisation on their own may not be able to deliver.

The Caloundra Youth  Services Network Meeting – is held bi-monthly (8.45 – 11am) at the Lake Kawana Community Centre (Sportsmans Parade, Bokarina).  Have a look at the E-Calendar for the dates of the meetings to download into your own calendar.
